A Blog a Day... You Can Too, with Drupal.

A number of days ago I resolve to publish a blog a day. OK. Yesterday was a missfire. But hey, I published two on Sunday so my average is good!
Today I want to encourage you all to start your own blog!
Why?
#1... It gives your website purpose. If you have a website that you use as a playground for testing and goofing off... Take it and spruce it up and start blogging on it. If you're like me you have a couple different places where you can test modules and play around. So why not take one of your domains and start looking good on it?
#2... Having the purpose of starting a blog site forces you to finalized the modules you need, install them, configure them, then run with them.
#3... Then you can help someone else do it.

But what will you blog about? Well, that's none of my business. I will tell you that if you blog about politics you will either have 56% reading it or 56% thinking you're crazy. Those are pretty tough odds either way. There are lots of resources out there on how to Blog with out boring people to death.
My goal, which doesn't have to be your goal, is to start taking a Drupal Module or Task, or Topic and blog on it. The cool thing is that Google is picking me up and people who are searching for Drupal related items are actually popping in on my blog! That's pretty cool if you ask me.

So go ahead... Take the plunge.... Start a blog... If you don't know how to do it, I say Do It With Drupal. Interestingly enough, that's the name of an upcoming seminar in New Orleans. www.DoItWithDrupal.com and if you're thinking about going, use the coupon code DOIWITHDOUGVANN and save 10%
